Working and Living in Germany


Germany is now home to over 100,000 British expats and you only need to look at the attractions to easily see why. A thriving economy, excellent job opportunities and one of the most efficient transport networks in the world has seen Germany grow into the worlds fifth largest economy. The job market in Germany is particularly strong, especially in the areas of Information technology, manufacturing and engineering. Germany is also one of the worlds largest importers of everything from world class cars to specialist food and drink.

Making removals to Germany is easy. As a UK citizen and a member of the EU you will not need a special work permit nor will you need to obtain a visa in order to live or work in Germany. Casual work is easy to come across and there are many opportunities to teach English as a foreign language, although you will need to be also fluent in German.

The country offers a diverse landscape of vibrant, modern cities through to quaint countryside villages as well as every kind of outdoor sport. Anyone who enjoys the outdoors cannot fail to be impressed with Germanys plethora of rivers, mountains, lakes, forests and hidden castles just waiting to be discovered.
