Your Body Talks

Body language is more important than most people realize. The words we say are important, but our body language can convey even more than our words. People can tell if we are interested, not interested, bored, excited, happy, sad, mad, etc. just by the way we carry our body and the movements we make. When trying to make a good impression, it is very important that we are aware of our body language. Sometimes one is so worried about what they say and how they say it that they don’t realize that their body movements can be noticed as well. For example, if you are fidgeting, shaking your leg, or exhibiting other nervous behaviors, people may think that you are not confident or sure of yourself. This is not something that you would want a job interviewer to see as in that type of situation you want to make the best impression that you possibly can. Body language can also make a huge difference in how people react to us in general. If you are always looking down, never smiling, and never looking people in the eye, it is hard to meet new people an make new friends. When interactions aren’t going the way you planned or hoped, take note of your body language, it just might be what is making the difference.
